Navy Blue Metallic exterior, Black leather interior, Beige convertible top. 420hp 355ci Chevrolet V8 engine, automatic transmission, posi rear-end. Someone spent some serious cash fixing this one up -- this car has probably had $30-40,000 invested to get it to where it is today! Assembled on January 14, 1973, this Corvette Convertible's trim tag shows paint code 922 and interior code 413. This Corvette is painted 1999-01 Navy Blue Metallic, which is one of the most often requested colors on a C5. This paint is in excellent condition, showing no apparent flaws or blemishes. Convertible top looks to be newer, and is problem-free with a relatively clear window. A set of Centerline wheels have been added and painted gold, with 18s in the back and 17s in the front. These wheels are in excellent condition with no apparent flaws, and wear BRAND NEW Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT runflat tires in C5 sizes. A set of custom "bubble" style tailights have been added, and are in excellent condition with no cracks or other wear. Original style chrome rear bumpers have been painted gold to match the wheels; we can replace these bumpers with factory style chrome for an additional $400. Weatherstripping appears to be all new, and is in excellent condition. Chrome exterior door handles are newer as well, and show no noticeable flaws. The interior of this 1973 Corvette Convertible is very nice also, with custom leather seat covers, and very good original style door panels. All original gauges in this car have been swapped for Nordskog digital units, which are all in working condition. A smaller diameter wood rim steering wheel has been added, but retains the factory horn button and tilt-n-tele operation. Dash pad is excellent with no cracks, and the cut-pile pattern carpet looks to be brand new. Center console is very nice, but shows a few cracks in the forward trim pieces. Other additions to this interior include a set of aluminum pedals, custom gold roll cage with Simpson racing belts, Hurst Quarter Stick shifter, tire pressure monitoring system, window tint, JL 300/4 amplifier, Alpine CD changer, Xtant A 10 inch subwoofers w/custom enclosure, MTX speakers, and purple neons. A power antenna has been added to the exterior of the vehicle for a cleaner look. However, most of the money that was spent on this car was spent under the hood -- you'd be hard pressed to find a single stock part! The engine itself shows casting number 3970010, and casting date October 31, 1972. This block has been decked, and has a bare stamp pad. The following items are chrome: timing cover, valve covers, master cylinder, and alternator. Other under the hood additions include a polished Edelbrock Performer intake, BeCool aluminum radiator, Meziere electric water pump, billet pulleys, Hurst linelock (currently disconnected), Hooker Supercomp longtube headers and sidepipes with custom gold sidepipe covers (can be removed for no additional charge) , MSD billet aluminum distributor, MSD ignition coil, MSD ignition wires, billet water outlet, braided hoses, Demon carburetor, TCI transmission cooler, K&N air cleaner, Holley electric fuel pump with pressure regulator, Milodon oil pan, B&M vented transmission pan, and a custom vented hood. Suspension upgrades include new bushings, Bilstein shocks, and VB fiberglass monosprings. According to the records, the engine in this car got a performance rebuild in December of 2001. This rebuild included ARP rod and head bolts, Keith Black pistons, double roller timing chain and gears, Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads, and a Comp Cams 12-430-8 camshaft with Comp 986 springs. This camshaft specs out to 224/224 on a 110 lsa, which equates to excellent mid to upper range power with a mild rough idle. Additionally, this engine was bored out .030, making this a 355 cubic inch engine. According to the engine builder's invoice, this car made a maximum of 420hp at 5900 RPM, and 412 ft lbs of torque at 4200 RPM. This 1973 Corvette Convertible features a very clean, rust and corrosion-free frame, and comes with a grocery bag filled up with receipts, records, and aftermarket parts literature. Original owner's manual, Chilton repair manual, and parts manual also included. You would have to spend tens of thousands more to duplicate this car, making this an excellent value for someone wanting to turn a post-bumper car into a tasteful and fast custom!
